- 1 lb halal chicken breast cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs or almond flour for gluten-free
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Optional: 1/2 tsp cumin or 1/4 tsp cayenne for spice
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Set up coating station: one bowl with beaten egg, another with breadcrumbs and spices mixed together.
Dip each chicken piece in egg, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumb mixture. Place on baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
For extra crispiness: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes instead.
